Award-winning artist Margy Gates has brought pen to paper to capture some beautiful Salish Sea scenes in a new book printed by Anacortes’ Cave Art Press.
“Exploring the Salish Sea: An Artist’s View” explores the Puget Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Georgia Strait and surrounding areas. It focuses on the region’s wildlife and native culture.
Gates illustrates the area’s iconic sea life, including salmon and killer whales.
