This image won first place in a juried competition for giclees. Some of what I was playing around with had to do with how some fish colors “pop” while others almost disappear into their surroundings. Painting my memories of snorkeling in the Fijian reefs allowed me to put my brain back underwater…back in that outrageously beautiful place. Original watercolor
