This is a close-up of a small beach on Isla Mujeres, Ycatan. It was a placid afternoon with a warm breeze and two people quietly chatting. Luki Mim awaited a fishing trip the next day. The painting challenges were the rhythms and the palm tree, a subject that holds my interest because of its variety and complexity.
