This sight awaited me when I came to my studio early one morning. Only very large storms create waves inside the breakwater like the ones in this painting. They made the red sign seem particularly important. Still, the storm was definitely over, the winds had calmed down and the seagulls were out fishing for breakfast. It was the beginning of a great beach day.
